Why having the right sole is important

Depending on the activity and terrain, the level of functionality and type of grip of the footwear’s sole is very important to keeping you on your feet and stable. When out on the farm all day, you’ll need boots that don’t just sink into the mud and tatter. In contrast, the right soles for the right marine boots are a must for walking around the wet deck of a fishing boat out at sea, where flat surfaces become especially slippery and precarious.

Grip Soles

Our Grip sole is a dual-density sole that provides a versatile, all-terrain grip that keeps you stable whether you’re on wet grass, an uneven footpath, or muddy farmland. With its spectacular hardwearing properties, these boots can take whatever the terrain throws your way, being able to always accommodate you as you face new challenges when moving between muddy uneven terrain and flat terrain.

Cross Soles

Similar to our Grip sole, our Cross dual-density sole has all terrain grip that has excellent stability on mud and uneven ground. The sole is fantastically hardwearing, providing great product life no matter the terrain, with cushioning shock-absorption to support your feet as you ascend and descend obstacles.

MICHELIN SOLES

Our Le Chameau Michelin boots like our Pontus marine provide great stability and mobility ease when standing on the slippery decks of a boat. Boots with Michelin soles have superior adherence during heel-to-toe rolling and inbuilt grooves into the Michelin sole to remove excess water.

MICHELIN OC SOLES

Designed in collaboration with tyre experts Michelin, the Michelin OC sole is based on motocross tyre technology and is an ultra-lightweight sole with high-engineered grip and traction. The sole is incredibly hardwearing and abrasion resistant, with a comfortable, flexible outsole ready to adapt to any demanding terrain.

Michelin Agri Soles

Developed in collaboration with Michelin’s best and brightest, our robust dual-density Le Chameau Michelin Agri sole is based on a tractor-tyre design structure and has next-level grip. This design allows you to handle muddly, chemical farmland and uphill struggles with ease, and is also self-cleaning so your feet won’t get caked and dragged down by heavy, excess mud during your all-day outdoor jobs.

Marine Soles

Our marine soles are flat anti-skid, with inbuilt suction cups for great grip and stability on a boat deck regardless of choppy seas. These high-level, waterproof soles have large grooves to get rid of excess water that washes over them, keeping your feet light and never waterlogged.
