Sampling the local produce is a-must in Norfolk like their mussels and cockles or abundance of wild sea foraging foods like samphire and sea purslane. On the subject of food, why not try Walsingham Farm Shop or Stiffkey Stores that sell the best of local produce.

Or if it’s the arts and history you wish to explore, the village of Cley next the Sea has a charming pottery shop called Made in Cley, whilst in Glandford, The Shell Museum is a fine visit, claiming to be the oldest purpose-built museum in the county, home to the finest seashell collection in the UK. Cley also has a rather spectacular nature reserve to explore.

On the subject of finding the best spots to enjoy a nature walk, Holkham has a number of beautiful routes to enjoy from beach walks to parkland saunters. If you walk Holkham, then enjoy a break at their on-site café. Or, if you’d wish to stay longer, Holkham’s four-star hotel and restaurant, The Victoria, has a range of rooms to choose from and a restaurant menu that changes each day and with the seasons.
