In 1970 Le Chameau introduced a boot that was to become a legend in the field. Created by Le Chameau master of design Marc Longuet with the “hunter” in mind, our iconic Chasseur boot was the first rubber boot to have a waterproof full length zip. Hand crafted exclusively, by one single master boot maker, after a long and rigorous apprenticeship, each Chasseur boot is a unique creation, made with precision, craftsmanship and assembly techniques handed down from generation to generation.
A quick-drying 3mm neoprene lining provides exceptional insulation keeping feet and legs comfortable in temperatures as low as -15°C. The watertight heavy-duty zip with press stud tightening strap makes Chasseur easy to put on and take off. Available in 8 different calf sizes for a fit that is virtually bespoke.
Heritage Meets Innovation
DuPont™ Kevlar® fibers are used in the natural rubber mix to reinforce the forefoot areas, improving tear and abrasion resistance and performance in harsh terrain. The abrasion-resistant Grip outsole offers sure-footed traction on uneven, slippery, muddy and soft terrain.
The dual-density Grip sole absorbs shock and features a shank reinforcement board for better stability and anti-fatigue arch support. The quick-drying neoprene insulation lining cushions the foot and provides additional energy absorption.

I like my boots
I bought my current Le Chameau wellies in 2002 , having previously had years of Hunters, Royal Hunters and wellies from other competitors. Those previous years were dogged with having to replace my boots every three, or so, years because the rubber perished and they ceased to be waterproof. Now that we've reached June 2017, I'm sad, but pleased to report that those 2002 Le Chameau Boots have only just perished and started to let the rain in. That's 15 years of warm, neoprene-lined, extremely comfortable, exceptional quality wellies worn virtually every day. I'd love another pair of Chasseur size 10's, but now that I'm on a state pension I'll have to count my pennies.Review by Derek Watson (Posted on 06/06/2017)
