Heritage Meets Innovation
DuPont™ Kevlar® fibers are used in the natural rubber mix to reinforce the forefoot areas, improving tear and abrasion resistance and performance in harsh terrain. The abrasion-resistant Cross outsole offers sure-footed traction on uneven, slippery, muddy and soft terrain.
Le Chameau is renowned for the quality and durability of our leather lined boots. The leather we use in our linings is a thick and supple full-grain calf leather supplied only by French and Italian tanneries. It encloses the foot completely for superior comfort. A leather-lined boot is tough, hardwearing and easy to put on. Treated to resist dampness, leather remains supple even in contact with water. Choose leather for luxurious year round comfort.
In 1970 Le Chameau introduced a boot that was to become a legend in the field. Created by Le Chameau master of design Marc Longuet with the “hunter” in mind, our iconic Chasseur boot was the first rubber boot to have a waterproof full length zip. Hand crafted exclusively, by one single master boot maker, after a long and rigorous apprenticeship, each Chasseur boot is a unique creation, made with precision, craftsmanship and assembly techniques handed down from generation to generation.

Measure around the calf at its widest point. Add 2cm to take sock and trouser thickness into account.
Measure from the ground to the back of the knee. Subtract 2cm to be sure the upper doesn’t stop the knee from bending comfortably.
15 years and still going
Most beautiful, leather lined boots.Review by Kirstene Mason (Posted on 26/04/2018)
Wear most days and whilst friends in their Hunters are complaining about cold toes, I very smugly inform them of my warm trotters.
Will be investing in a pair for my daughter when she turns 16.
Lasted longer than my marriage!!
Had my boots for about 20 yrs - couldn't believe how much they were back then but it was money well spent. Hardwearing and comfortable to walk for miles in. As I said before lasted longer than my marriage but that's probably not something you want to boast about!!Review by Michelle Newman (Posted on 25/12/2017)
Best investment yet
I've had my Le Chameau Chasseur Leather Lined Boots for 10 years and they look good as new, I do look after them. They are warm in winter and cool in summer, very comfortable and have never rubbed. I use to buy other well-known brands, from around £80 -£100 each time, which would either last me 12 to 18 months. Initially it may seem a lot of money to spend on a pair of wellie boots, but believe me, you won't need to buy another pair for a very long time or maybe never? Over the nine years of having them, they have actually saved me money in the long run.Review by Jen Hesmondhalgh (Posted on 01/12/2017)
The leather lining is similar to a type of glove leather
When I bought these boots online, from France, I had no idea about whatReview by Kelly from British Columbia, Canada (Posted on 13/11/2017)
a leather-lined boot was really all about.
The leather-lining aspects of this boot transform it into
a category that no other boot competitor can match for the merits of
their practicality and over all wearing experience.
I've had the boots for 15 years, I clean/condition the exterior (the outside of the boot) with a premium over the counter auto-vinyl cleaner, which works ideally for what the exterior of the boot is materially constructed of.
I have only cleaned/conditioned the exterior of the boots three times over the 15 year duration that I've worn them, and the boots look as good as today as the day I bought them.
The leather lining is relatively similar to type of glove leather; the feel is soft, malleable, and supple, yet would never wear-through, rip, or tear with durational extent of use.
...The boots just seem to improve with further wear and age.
i love them
