In 1970 Le Chameau introduced a boot that was to become a legend in the field. Created by Le Chameau master of design Marc Longuet with the “hunter” in mind, our iconic Chasseur boot was the first rubber boot to have a waterproof full length zip. Hand crafted exclusively, by one single master boot maker, after a long and rigorous apprenticeship, each Chasseur boot is a unique creation, made with precision, craftsmanship and assembly techniques handed down from generation to generation.
Fully lined in full-grain leather for all-year round comfort and durability. The watertight full-length heavy-duty side zip with press stud tightening strap makes Chasseur easy to put on and take off. Available in 8 different calf sizes for a virtually bespoke fit.
Premium Full Grain Leather
Le Chameau is renowned for the quality and durability of our leather lined boots. The leather we use in our linings is a thick and supple full-grain calf leather supplied only by French and Italian tanneries. It encloses the foot completely for superior comfort. A leather-lined boot is tough, hardwearing and easy to put on. Treated to resist dampness, leather remains supple even in contact with water. Choose leather for luxurious year round comfort.
Heritage Meets Innovation
DuPont™ Kevlar® fibers are used in the natural rubber mix to reinforce the forefoot areas, improving tear and abrasion resistance and performance in harsh terrain. The abrasion-resistant Grip outsole offers sure-footed traction on uneven, slippery, muddy and soft terrain.
The dual-density Grip sole absorbs shock and features a shank reinforcement board for better stability and anti-fatigue arch support. The quick-drying removable leather insoles cushion the foot and provides additional insulation.

Measure around the calf at its widest point. Add 2cm to take sock and trouser thickness into account.
Measure from the ground to the back of the knee. Subtract 2cm to be sure the upper doesn’t stop the knee from bending comfortably.

Time to Renew
I've had a pair of chasseur leather lined boots for longer than I've known my wife (30years and 7 months) and now the zips have finally gone.Review by Darren Taylor (Posted on 24/10/2017)
Time to reluctantly replace the boot but anything other than a Chasseur is just not an option.
They are the most comfortable boots and I have worn them almost daily since I've had them, generally for walking the dogs but for longer stints in the shooting season.
My wife knew she was accepted into the family when she received her pair as a gift and which are still going strong!
Are they still the best
I have owned my leather lined boots for over 20 years, best boots ever but are the new ones just as good, I wonder??Review by Duncan Godfrey (Posted on 22/10/2017)
Excellent boot and years of use.
I've had my boots 15 years, they have had plenty of use in some harsh environments and they are still going strong. They are the most comfortable boot I have ever owned.Review by Gareth (Posted on 30/08/2017)
