The leather lined Le Chameau Chasseur boots I purchased are some of the best footwear I have ever owned and I love high quality footwear. I live in coastal Alaska and they work great in snow and on ice. I am sure they will work well in the woods during the spring, summer, and fall when the snow is gone as well. These boots are also very classy and go well the tweeds and Filson wool clothing that I favor during the cold months. Also, this company is great to work with and the shipping is fast.

I have been buying these boots for 20 years now. My job as an agronomist requires boots such that they are comfortable ( When I am busy I can easlily walk 50 miles / week. ) They offer good arch support and due to the fact that I have hogh insteps the zips are perfect to allow ease of taking on and off. The leather lining is a must as I have to wear them in cold and hot conditions when wet. Dissapointingly I have found that in the last 5 years or so the Vibram soles crack and as such let water in ! I was told that this was a short term manufacturing issue that had been resolved BUT I think not!
