Le Chameau boots continue to receive wonderful expert reviews in the press and media worldwide. Here are some of the reviews our wellington boots, rubber boots, rain boots and leather boots have received recently.
The Telegraph nominated our Vierzonord Neoprene Lined Boot for Women and for Men as one of their “Best Wellington Boots For Autumn”. They wrote “What makes them so good? The rubber is natural, which gets a big tick from me, and the 3mm neoprene lining keeps my feet and calves warm until I find the roaring fire and pint which I seek. The gussets on the outer sides are waterproof, and adjustable with the help of a quick, easy snap-fastening buckle, which ensures that they hug whatever size leg they adorn.”
Country and Town House
Country and Town House magazine described Le Chameau’s Chasseur as “The Rolls Royce of wellington boots, for when it’s coming down in buckets and only the real deal will do. Buy now, wear, very contentedly, forever.”
This was part of their write-up on the “The Best Waterproof Boots for Winter.”
Horse & Hound
Awarding Le Chameau’s Vierzon Jersey Lined Boot for Women and for Men 10/10 for performance and a “Best In Test” award, Horse & Hound magazine wrote “As soon as I saw these boots I thought they looked very sophisticated and stylish. They were very comfortable to wear around the yard and especially when I was walking cross-country courses while out eventing.”
Writing for The Times, broadcaster Claudia Winkleman singled out Le Chameau’s Vierzon Jersey Lined Boots for Women for praise, describing them as “simply the smartest wellies in the land.”
In their piece titled “Best wellies for women”, Le Chameau received two nominations. The Standard featured our Jameson Mid Leather Boot, noting “The boots are waterproof and unavoidably comfortable. They are also composed of a quality leather that is not only durable but will actually age to look better over time.”
Calling out the Vierzonord Neoprene Lined Boot, the Evening Standard wrote “Masters in the art of wellies, Le Chameau specialise in all things rain boots — the five star reviews speak for themselves.
The boots are composed of handcrafted rubber and have a snap-fastening buckle that ensures comfortable fit. There is also a shock absorbing grip that makes these a highly versatile shoe for all terrains.”
Country Life Magazine nominated our leather-lined Chasseur as one of the best boots money can buy. They commented “The leather lined are top of the range and the style is over 40 years old – the first boot to offer multiple calf sizes”.
The Unisex Country Vibram Boot was nominated by Mumsnet.com as one of their best women’s wellies of the year. The nomination was described as “…you get what you pay for with these high-end boots. With a cosy 3mm neoprene lining to keep your toes warm, as well as a sturdy Vibram sole, these country wellies are loved by Mumsnetters for being exceptionally long-lasting and surprisingly comfy.”
Quotes from the Mumsnet community included “Mine have ended up as a favourite purchase. They're toasty on cold mornings and incredibly comfortable. Five years later, they’re in the same great condition as when they were first bought despite being used daily.”
Guns On Pegs
Guns on Pegs reviewed Le Chameau’s Chameau Lite leather lace-up boots, writing “The Chameau-Lite are comfortable, lightweight boots, that you can wear all year round in any conditions. Weighing in at only 1.41kg per pair, these boots are unbelievably light weight. This is particularly beneficial when walking long distances over challenging terrain and even more so if you are carrying heavy kit with you.”
The article also noted “They look absolutely fantastic and with a growing number of people preferring to wear lace-up boots as opposed to wellingtons on driven days; these would certainly not look out of place!”
Le Chameau’s Vierzonord Neoprene Lined Boot came first in T3.com’s write-up titled “What Are The Best Wellies For Men Right Now?”. They wrote “If you're looking for a wellington boot that is heaped with function and style, these Le Chameau beauties could be the best wellies for you. Although seemingly expensive, the Vierzonord, available for men and women, are built to last, so expect a robust and durable build straight out of the box.”
The article on T3.com went on to say “If you work outdoors, they will see you through many years of slogging away in mud and heavy rain, thanks to their durable natural rubber upper and hard-wearing rubber sole. But you don't have to work outdoors to enjoy them – they're also perfect for dog walking and muddy country strolls.”
