Giving the boot to gynaecological cancer - Standing strong for women’s health with The Lady Garden Foundation.

This spring, Le Chameau is standing in solidarity with The Lady Garden Foundation and the wonderful work they do for women’s gynaecological health. Just in time for Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month (OCAM - March 2022), we have teamed up for the launch of the new limited edition Iris Rose Garden Wellington boot, in a bid to raise awareness of and funding for gynaecological health.

We have launched a limited edition Iris boot in Chelsea, mid bottillon and tall boot styles adorned with the Lady Garden logo in our iconic Rose colourway. We will be donating 10 percent of all sales of the limited edition boots throughout March 2022 directly to The Lady Garden Foundation.

Why the Lady Garden Foundation?

Le Chameau x The Lady Garden Foundation boots were designed to help stomp out the taboos surrounding women’s health and to help give gynaecological cancer the boot. The Lady Garden Foundation‘s mission is to raise funds for gynaecological health to help reduce the diagnoses and devastating outcomes of gynaecological cancers, often referred to as Silent Killers. The determined group of women behind the charity are as ambitious as their vision, which is not only to change the future of female health, but the way we talk about it too. Whilst maintaining a commitment to the prevention of all gynaecological cancers. There are 5 types of gynaecological cancer: Ovarian, Cervical, Uterine (Womb), Vaginal and Vulval. Understanding the symptoms will save lives, which is why we are calling on you to talk more openly about these life-saving issues.

The Lady Garden Foundation will also seek to shine a light on a woman's full Lady Garden journey; to arm women and girls with the knowledge they need to break down the taboos that surround the topic. The charity pledges to raise funds for both gynaecological cancer and additional causes from menstruation to menopause.

The Boots

Following a successful launch of the Iris in 2020 across seven colourways, we have developed the nature inspired Rose coloured Botte in two new heights, the Bottillon and Chelsea. All boots have been adorned with The Lady Garden Foundation logo - a unique and special stamp of unity. The boots boast a lightweight and durable material for supreme all-day comfort, and their supple signature Chamolux rubber is used to make this wellington boot 100% waterproof. The signature poly-cotton jersey helps to wick moisture away from the feet keeping them dry and they adapt perfectly to suit high temperatures as well as intermediate seasons.
